    How to Make an Envelope

Making an envelope is a simple and enjoyable DIY project. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to make your own envelope:

    1. Start by gathering the necessary materials. You will need a piece of paper, scissors, a ruler, a pencil, and adhesive (such as glue or tape).
    2. Place the piece of paper horizontally in front of you, with the shorter edges on the top and bottom.
    3. Measure and mark a square on the paper. The size of the square will depend on the size of the card or letter you intend to send. As a general guideline, the square should be slightly larger than the card or letter.
    4. Using a ruler, draw lines to connect the corners of the square. These lines will serve as guides for folding.
    5. Cut out the square along the lines you just drew.
    6. With the printed side facing down, fold the bottom edge of the square up to the top edge. Make sure to crease the fold firmly.
    7. Unfold the paper and fold the left edge over to meet the right edge. Crease the fold.
    8. Rotate the paper so that one of the corners is pointing towards you. Fold the top corner down to meet the bottom corner, creating a triangle shape.
    9. Unfold the triangle and open up the pocket it created.
    10. Take the left corner of the paper and fold it towards the center, aligning it with the crease made in step 7.
    11. Repeat step 10 with the right corner, folding it towards the center and aligning it with the crease.
    12. Flip the paper over and fold the bottom edge up to meet the top edge. This will enclose the envelope.
    13. Apply adhesive to the side flaps of the envelope. You can use glue or tape to secure the flaps in place.
    14. Allow the adhesive to dry before inserting your card or letter into the envelope.

Now that you know how to make an envelope, you can add a personal touch to your correspondence. Whether it's for a special occasion or just a friendly note, a handmade envelope is sure to make a lasting impression.
